CA Vacation, Day 3, North CA Coast

We left San Francisco at 8:30AM, it was very cool, 56 degrees and very foggy, but we had planned to drive up the coast today to see how far we would get. It was very tough driving, the roads are curvy and extremely foggy. But since our time is limited, we decided to just keep going hoping the fog would lift. It didn't lift until after 11AM, so a bad 3 hours this morning, but when the sun came out, it made up for the misery this morning.

I had Mary Jo take a picture of the the surf in the fog, just to show what it looked like.

The fog finally lifted and we saw our first of many rocks jutting out into the Pacific, here is one with the surf splashing up on it

37th Wedding Anniversary

We went out after work on August 26 to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary. We had dinner at Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab http://www.joes.net/las-vegas and had a delicious meal, then off to to see Donny & Marie, MJ got VIP tickets and we also got invited to the Meet & Greet from a former boss (Thanks Suz).

Mike Smith at Red Rock Canyon

Mike Smith from Indiana was in town doing some work at the Golden Gate so we got him out of downtown for a few hours one Sunday and showed him some of the Las Vegas Valley. Mike says he enjoyed the Canyon.
